Happy Birthday David

Happy Birthday David!

Our bosses Richard and Suzi bought David a lovely cake and provided some delicious snacks to celebrate his birthday. We had the mini party in work with the staff and Shae's Mom and sister who are visiting Korea at the moment. This is another reason why we like working at CEV...very thoughtful employers!

David's new toy

David got an amazing birthday present from everybody in work. It is a inflatable rubber-dingy!!! He has wanted one for ages. I can't wait to test it out. THANK YOU Shae, Adam, Julie and Sara!!! :)

The Fan Death!

In Korea it is apparently believed  that leaving an electric fan on overnight with no windows for doors open can cause death by suffocation. I am sure the majority of the population just think this myth is a superstition but it still a funny thought!

Adventure Day

Yesterday (Saturday 7th) David and I went to Herb Hillz in Daegu. This is an Eco Adventure Park. We tried there high level rope course which involved varies zip wires, rope walks and climbing wall. It was EXTREMELY scary but also very fun!
Herb Hillz also has a Zoo and many pretty surrounding grounds.

Learning Korean...back to basics!

David and I have decided that we are going to re-sign our contract at the same school. This means we will be staying in Korea until September 2014. We are very excited with our decision and very happy to be working and living in ChangNyeong English Village!!!

As we will be here for another year we need to brush up on our Korean skills. It is sometimes very boring trying learning hangul so I have found some interesting videos  made by an America guy...thank you Michael Aronson!!!
